To mark the 25th anniversary of the first part of the legendary Star Wars saga, “Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace” returns to German cinemas for 5 days from May 1. Follow the first fateful steps on Anakin Skywalker's path. After rescuing the young Queen Amidala from the impending invasion of Naboo, Jedi student Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn land on the desert planet Tattoine and meet nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker, a young slave with extraordinary abilities. Anakin wins a thrilling pod race and with it the freedom to leave his home and train as a Jedi Knight. The heroes return to Naboo, where Anakin and the Queen have to defend themselves against heavy attacks, while the two Jedi Knights are confronted by a deadly enemy called Darth Maul. Only now do they realize that the invasion is only the first step in a secret plot by the Sith, the newly resurgent dark side of the Force.
